In January 1992 local attorney Larry F. Shafer started the local office of Ohio Title with two other employees. The Ohio Title branch in Johnstown grew with the community.

In April 2003, Ohio Title opened a satellite location in New Albany to serve the needs of their New Albany and Franklin County clients.
